More sorta-original HDN stuff. And yeah, those things are locally known as Yoshi (edit: that'd be Yoshee, as Pore suggested). Lowee's quite the hot spot for dinosaurs.

Yoshee Mini-Bio:_{Although outsiders might believe that the raptors frequently assault humans if given the chance, they are actually quite docile around people. They thrive more effectively in Lowee's climate than the alternatively-used horesbirds, and thus are preferred by adventurers desiring a hardy yet friendly mount during long treks.
A few variants of Yoshee exist in Lowee, each one easily distinguishable by its unique color. Their appearances vary depending on their environment in order to quickly camouflage themselves, since they often hunt stealthily and are practically helpless against much larger predators. They have very long, extrudable tongues that easily snag prey, and their unhingeable jaws allow them to swallow virtually anything smaller than they are.}</u>
