I swear this looked a little different/better before editing. The brown watercolor sorta made his cloak look more like rock than fabric... And the damn scanner creased the paper where his face is and it made an annoying gloss.
At least the old, rusty appearance remained intact. I can be happy for at least one thing...
Anyways, I decided to entertain the thought of a rusting, derelict Brave wandering around the desert with a cloak, because hey, it was 2 in the morning and I suddenly felt like drawing. F*ck/bless this exhausting habit. It seems like a thing for most tragic protagonists, isn't it? It also looks cool.
And I just really, really love Brave as a character. Like, a lot.

Also, since his cloak looks like rock... ROCK SOLID!
Heh. The gloss makes it look like he's shining in some parts. And yeah, the cloth looks like rock but how long's it been since he washed it?
I'm thinkin' a couple decades. Post-Conquest End scenario.
And then I think, "moral support? Dude, weren't you trying to kill that kid just a moment ago? You don't just become friends after you're defeated. This isn't an anime." And that though is immediately followed by, "or is it…?"
